Professional photographers are predictable; the world is full of dangerous amateurs like me.
Akash Bhattacharya(known as @k@sh in web-world), a Bengali residing in Bangalore, is an IT professional, who loves to take deliberately casual/candid approach while photographing anything & everything under the sun. He is “always online’ and ready to capture the present for future.
He started his photography in 2006 and been an active member of various groups,like:- Bangalore Weekend Shoot,Bangalore Photography Club,Kolkata Photographers Club,and various online forums. Many of his images have been published in well-known magazines like:- Better Photography, Discover India,Citizen Matters,Daily Newspaper(The Statesman,Bangalore Mirror,Deccan Herald) and in the inaugural inflight magazine of Qatar Airways(Feb 2010) in last 3 years.Recently,one of his image was declared as the winner under “Heritage” category in Bangalore Infinite 2010 photo-contest.
His idea of photography is like Fishing! (What else would you expect from a Bong 
) He follows :- “In fishing,you go out in the morning with no idea of what the trip will bring. Sometimes luck is on your side and all your crab pots are full of prime Lobsters. Other times you get nothing.” Moreover,he adds “
That’s what photography is to me. I don’t go out particularly for photography, rather whenever I go out,I do photography.”
His favourite topic street-photography is more about vision/story-telling than they are about the people he photographs.
